Portsmouth Services Fly Fishing Association
Top quality chalkstream flyfishing opportunity for non-portsmouth native members of the RN&RMAA Game Section
The Portsmouth Services Fly Fishing Association (PSFFAA) owns beats on the rivers Itchen and Meon in south Hampshire. The Association is set up for serving and retired members and gives favourable rates of membership for those serving at sea.
Whilst expecting Portsmouth natives to join the Association, they recognise the mobile nature of servicemen and offer the opportunity for visiting members of the RN&RMAA to fish these waters on a day ticket basis. The day tickets are paid for in advance by the RN&RMAA - Game section and currently the first point of contact should be Derek Long, who physically holds the ticket.
Prior to use, please ensure you have read the PSFFA Rules, and information on the use of the ticket, (download their information). Also, there are documents that explain the various beats that are in use, they are:
- Brambridge-Beat-Map-2012
- Compton-Beat-Map-2012
- Exton-Beat-Map-2012
- Lower-Holywell-and-Mislingford-Beat-Maps-2012
- Seaford-Lake-2012
- Segar's-Carrier-Map-2012
- St-Clair's-Farm-Beat-Map-2012
- Upper-St-Cross-and-Manor-Beat-Maps-2012
- Wintershill-Lake-2012
If they are not used the club's money is wasted, so use it or lose it!
If you have any further questions about the use of the ticket, and indeed whether you are eligible to use it, please can you direct any enquiries to Neil Jones, Game Secretary direct.
In essence, to use the ticket you must be a serving member, and visiting the Portsmouth area (for a course etc).
